What is LAND?

LAND stands for "Los Angeles Neighborhood Dreams" - an initiative of L.A. City Council President Eric Garcetti's office. Its goal is to identify shared goals and a vision for each neighborhood in Council District 13 through its members and stakeholders.

This process will engage constituents and stakeholders to solicit ideas and priorities for each neighborhood. Participants will develop a list of priority projects that fit into a comprehensive vision for their neighborhood and that are achievable in the next 3 years.

This effort will include the following steps:

1. Identify and explore a vision for the neighborhood's future through a collaborative convening
2. Gather new ideas, resources and people and connect them to the issues
3. Document this process and identify the next steps
4. Establish strategic themes, clear priorities, and immediate actions steps
5. Distribute information to a (re)energized and action-ready community of people
